About this Kaltura downloader

Kaltura powers MediaSpace portals, lecture capture and the video tools inside Canvas, Moodle and Blackboard. Paste the address of a MediaSpace page or a Kaltura player link to list the renditions the publisher keeps, usually 360p to 1080p, and save the video as MP4 with sound. Most university and company videos require a login. Those are not visible to the website; the extension, inside your own signed-in browser, saves lectures you are allowed to watch, including players embedded in a course page.

Questions about the Kaltura downloader

Do university lectures work?

In the extension, yes, while you are signed in to your course. The website only sees public pages.

Which quality do I get?

The renditions the publisher kept, usually up to 1080p.

Do interactive videos with quizzes work?

The video itself is saved. Quizzes and chapter menus are part of the player, not the file.
