Terms of use

Effective 5 October 2026.

What this is

Vertly is a website for saving videos, images, audio and subtitles from supported pages. The Universal Video Downloader Chrome extension also uses our download service. By using this website or extension you agree to these terms.

Your responsibility

You may only download content you have the right to save: your own content, content released under a licence that allows it, or content the owner lets you download. You are responsible for respecting the terms of the websites you use and the rights of content owners. The extension does not remove copy protection and cannot download protected (DRM) videos.

Fair use of the service

The download service is shared by everyone who uses the extension. We may limit very heavy use, and we may block requests that abuse the service or break the law.

No warranty

The extension and the service are provided as they are, free of charge, without any warranty. Websites change often, so a site that works today may stop working tomorrow. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the extension or the website.

Privacy

How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version.
