Images are fetched from the original file, not the compressed preview Imgur shows in the feed. Videos uploaded to Imgur, including the ones that play like GIFs, are saved as MP4. For albums, every picture is listed and can be saved one by one or all together as a zip. Hidden images still work when you have the direct link; deleted uploads do not.
