About this JW Player downloader

JW Player is not a video site but the player many publishers embed on their own pages. Paste the address of the page where the video plays, or a cdn.jwplayer.com player or preview link, and the results list the MP4 renditions and streams the publisher made available, often up to 1080p. The video is saved with sound. Pages that require a subscription or a login, and streams protected with DRM, are not available. When a page embeds the player in a way the website cannot see, the extension finds the video on the page itself.

Questions about the JW Player downloader

How do I know a site uses JW Player?

Right-click the player: the menu says "About JW Player". Many news, sports and learning sites do.

Why does the page link find nothing?

Some pages load the player only after a click. Use the extension, which sees the video once it plays.

Do DRM streams work?

No. Protected streams are refused on purpose.
