- The preview streams Drive plays, in the qualities it offers

How to get the link
- Open the file in Drive, press Share, set access to "Anyone with the link", then "Copy link".
- Files shared with specific people only need the extension in your signed-in browser.
About this Google Drive downloader
Paste a Google Drive file link (drive.google.com/file/d/ followed by the file id). The file must be shared as "anyone with the link"; files restricted to specific people or to an organisation cannot be fetched by the website. Drive plays videos in a transcoded preview, often in lower quality than the upload. The results list the preview qualities and, when Drive allows it, the original file. Files whose daily download quota is used up still have the preview streams available most of the time. For restricted files, open them in your own signed-in browser and use the extension.
Three moves, one file

One click instead of paste
The free Chrome extension finds the video on any Google Drive page by itself: open the page, click the icon, press Download. No hourly limit, no copying links, and it works on pages that refuse servers.

Too many people downloaded the original today. The preview streams usually still work, and they are listed here.

Do I need a Google account?
No, for files shared with anyone by link.
